Parent Partnership Committee (replaced Holy Family's School Board)

A solutions-driven committee aimed at fostering two-way communication between parents, pastor, principal and staff as they partner together to pursue the work of educating children through solid academic and religious instruction.

The committee functions as a sub-committee within the Holy Family Home and School Association.

2006/2007 Members
The committee will be made up of the principal and the pastor of Holy Family as well as a maximum of (6) elected members who are parents of children attending Holy Family School and a maximum of (4) staff members chosen as representatives of their peers. Each member is asked to serve a term of two years.

Mission
To enhance communication between parents, pastor, principal and staff to ensure that a safe, nurturing environment exists for the education of the children of Holy Family School.

Role
• To clarify school policy for parents.
• To address questions, suggestions and concerns presented in writing or in person to Mrs. Fisher and Father
Tobias.
• To respond in writing to questions, suggestions and concerns within 30 business days.
• To track incoming feedback to identify trends and report findings to Mrs. Fisher and Father Tobias.
• To encourage the "chain of command" of teacher, principal, pastor when communicating issues and ideas.
• To attend Home & School Association meetings.

Process
• Questions, suggestions and concerns can be submitted in person, in writing (no e-mail) or via the Parents
Partnership box outside of the school principal's office. No anonymous concerns or questions will be addressed.
• The committee will review all items received. A written response will be issued by the committee to the
parent(s) within 30 business days.
• The committee will meet on a regular basis as needed.
• The committee will be present at all Home and School Association meetings.
